Agency Helps Seniors Find Solutions
Tom and Helen have lived in their home for 55 years. It is the home that they purchased shortly after their marriage. It is the home in which they raised their four children. It is the home to which their children and grandchildren retreat for holidays and family celebrations. It is also the home with a driveway to shovel, trees and bushes to trim, and a lawn to mow.
Tom has always tended to the upkeep himself, but health issues have forced the couple to reconsider their housing options. They explored the option of assisted living facilities, but they both strongly feel that they are too independent to make that step. By the joint efforts of our Information and Assistance and Volunteer staff personnel, volunteers and service groups are coordinated to perform these tasks to keep Tom and Helen affordably in their own home.
