Sherry Pitzen
Nutritional Regional Manager
Sherry has been with the agency almost 15 years and first served as a center manager and now as a regional manager in the Nutrition Program. She is a graduate of Iowa State University majoring in Home Economics Education with a minor in Human Development and the Family. Sherry worked as an educator with special needs children and also taught special needs adults through the Des Moines Area Community College. After moving to southwest Iowa she was a residential placement specialist and coordinator with a workshop for developmentally disabled adults. She also worked for DHS as an Income Maintenance Worker before joining SW8.
Sherry lives with her husband in the rolling Loess hills just north of Hamburg, Iowa where they share their love of wildlife. They have one daughter who lives in Omaha.
